Port Blair, Mar 18: Nehru Yuva Kendra Port Blair today organized a Block Level Youth Parliament at historic heritage of Andaman Nicobar Islands at Cellular Jail on 17th March 2021 as part of Celebration of the completion of 75 years of India’s independence – the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, will begin 75 weeks before Independence Day 2022. The festival has been launched on March 12, 2021 and will conclude on April 5, 2021. In this programme about 120 youth were participated from various part of Andaman.

On the Occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sunil Anchipaka, IAS was Chief Guest he paid floral tribute to portraits of Father of Nation –Mahata Gandhi, Subash Chandra Bose and Sarder Vallabhbhai Patel . He also addressed to youth on their development in this islands youth are need avail the benefits under all flagship programme launched by the Govt of India. while Mr. MA Mujtaba, Retd Principal and Knowledge of Andaman History and he briefed the Life, journey, philosophy & works of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as a part of 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and freedom fighter history and development of these islands. While Mr. Venkatesh Kumar Singh Asst Professor also address the on role of youth on nation building , Mr. Neeraj Kumar Vadya, National Youth Awardee also berifed on Sazaya kalapani freedom fighter in Cellular jail.

Earlier Mohammed Tarique Shah, District Youth Officer, NYK , Port Blair welcome the guest and briefed bout the programme aims and objective while Mr. Gopal Ch Biswas APA of NYK Port Blair proposed vote of thanks.
