Persons aged More than 60 and Comorbid Patients Aged Between 45-59, Left Over Health Care Workers, Frontline Workers Eligible

Port Blair, March 2: The registration for vaccination of person aged more than 60 years, people between 45-59 years of age with comorbid conditions with due certification from doctor, left over Health Care Workers and Frontline workers started with effect from 01.03.2021.

In this regard all the beneficiaries are requested to get themselves registered their names in www.selfregistration.cowin.gov.in with their mobile numbers along with Aadhar Card or Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC or Photo ID card specified at the time of registration in case of online registration. For categories with comorbid conditions Certificate of comorbidity from a registered Medical Practitioner. for citizens in age group of 45 years to 59 years. And for left over HCWs and FLWs Employment certificate/ Official Identity Card – (either but with photo). Also, ensure to enroll Adhaar card while registering.

The date of vaccination of the registered beneficiaries will be declared soon as per the laid down criteria. The people between 45-59 years of age with comorbid conditions must have one  of the other disease conditions and must be certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner for conditions viz. Heart Failure with hospital admission in past one year; Post Cardiac Transplant/Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD); Significant Left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVEF <40%); Moderate or Severe Valvular Heart Disease; Congenital heart disease with severe PAH or Idiopathic PAH; Coronary Artery Disease with past CABG/PTCA/MI; AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment; AnginaAND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment; CT/MRI documented stroke AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment; Pulmonary artery hypertension AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment; Diabetes (> 10 years ORwith complications) AND Hypertension on treatment; Kidney/ Liver/ Hematopoietic stem cell transplant: Recipient/On wait-list; End Stage Kidney Disease on haemodialysis/ CAPD; Current prolonged use of oral corticosteroids/ immunosuppressant medications; Decompensated cirrhosis; Severe respiratory disease with hospitalizations in last two years/FEV1 <50%; Lymphoma/ Leukaemia/ Myeloma; Diagnosis of any solid cancer on or after 1st July 2020 Orcurrently on any cancer therapy; Sickle Cell Disease/ Bone marrow failure/ Aplastic Anemia/ Thalassemia Major; Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases/ HIV infection; Persons with disabilities due to Intellectual disabilities/ Muscular Dystrophy/ Acid attack with involvement of respiratory system/ Persons with disabilities having high support needs/ Multiple disabilities including deaf-blindness.

The COVID Vaccination Centers (CVC) for the above mentioned categories will be new building complex JNRM Port Blair, CHC Bambooflat, PHC Swarajdweep, PHC Shahid Dweep, PHC Hutbay for South Andaman District; BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar, CHC Nancowry, PHC Katchal, pHC Teressa including Chawra Island, PHC Campbellbay for Nicobar and Dr RP Hospital Mayabunder, CHC Diglipur, PHC, Billiground, CHC Rangat, PHC Baratang for N&M Andaman district.

The general public is hereby requested to get themselves vaccinated and also to guide and advise other concerned in this regard. All the beneficiaries registered will be sent SMS from  COWIN portal for their turn for vaccination.
