Port Blair, Mar 03: The Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Chetan B Sanghi has been transferred to New Delhi with immediate effect.
Mr. Jitendra Narayan will be holding the charge of Chief Secretary Andaman and Nicobar Islands till further orders.
Meanwhile, on relinquishing charge after two years & six months as Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration and before proceeding for his next assignment, Mr. Chetan B Sanghi paid a farewell call on Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
He served as Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands since 6th August 2018.
Through his career, he has led a number of assignments in Puducherry, Mizoram, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Delhi.
He served previously in Andamans, post Tsunami as Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Secretary Tourism/Finance etc.
He was Chief Secretary, Govt. of Puducherry from 2013-2015.
Most recently, Mr. Sanghi served in the Government of India in the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
In his earlier assignments with Government of India, he has also served in the Ministry of Defence and ISRO, Department of Space.
